NPCA’s Texas Regional Office is working with our 14,000 members in Texas and many partners and friends to advocate for the preservation of the lone star state's 13 diverse and awe-inspiring national park sites.

The Sun Coast office oversees unique national park units that contain vast numbers of tropical marine and terrestrial treasures. These parks form the backbone of the Sun Coast's tourist economy, and play critical roles in storing and filtering water and providing breeding and nursery areas for a huge array of wildlife.

The southeast region is unique, encompassing the southeastern shorelines, the southern highlands, and all the diverse parks in-between. In addition to natural resources like Mammoth Cave and the Great Smoky Mountains, the southeast region boasts significant cultural heritage sites such as the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site, and the Horseshoe Bend National Military Park.

NPCA saw a clear need for a presence in the Pacific Northwest due to a number of unique threats to its parks. The rivers and streams of Olympic, Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and John Day Fossil Beds support several species of fish, including salmon that are continuously threatened by pollution and habitat loss. Meanwhile, parks in Washington State face poor air quality and dense traffic congestion due to their proximity to large cities. 

The Grand Teton Field Office, based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, anchors the southern end of the Northern Rockies Region. The Field Office works to protect the outstanding Grand Teton National Park, including the remarkable Teton mountain range, magnificent Snake River corridor, and the incredible and diverse wildlife in the Grand Teton and Yellowstone region. The Field Office also works to enhance visitors’ experience and improve the relationship of Jackson Hole’s surrounding communities with Grand Teton National Park.

The Northern Rockies Region contains some of America’s most awe-inspiring wilderness and is home to several of the nation’s crown jewel parks. From the Earth’s greatest geyser area found in Yellowstone to the rugged awe-inspiring mountain range found in the Grand Tetons to the history of the Battle of Little Bighorn, America’s rich natural beauty and cultural heritage are at the heart of our national parks.

The national park sites of the Midwest are steeped in history, wrapped in the fabric of American culture, and spectacular in their natural beauty.

From the origins of the Underground Railroad to the Gateway Arch symbolizing Western expansion, our nation's history comes alive. The natural wonders of the Midwest are as varied as the landscape. There are dramatic sandstone cliffs, shifting sand dunes, and many islands filled with native wildlife in the Great Lakes. Thousands of acres of tallgrass prairie and scenic riverways wind throughout the region.

NPCA's West Virginia Field Office is located in Oak Hill, a gateway community for the New River Gorge National River. We focus our efforts on park advocacy, garnering local support for the national parks, and working with community leaders and stakeholders to protect the unique character of our national parks in West Virginia.
