The Center for Park Research summarizes its completed 2010 projects in its 2011 Annual Update. Along with seven single-park resource assessments the Annual Report highlights two projects, one with a regional perspective and one with a view across the national park system. The National Parks of the Colorado River Basin describes how water flows in the Colorado River affect natural and cultural resources in national parks within the river basin. The State of America’s National Parks will include a synthesis of information on park resource conditions gleaned from the Center’s research on 80 national parks. Finally, the Annual Update includes feedback the Center has received from National Park Service staff, as well as examples of how NPCA uses the Center’s publications in its work to protect and enhance our national parks.
